The purpose of the study was to identify the maternal & paternal-fetal attachment.
The subjects were 130 pregnant women and 85 their husbands. Data were collected in OB & GY clinic by modified Cranley´s Maternal-Fetal Attachment Scale.
The results were as follows :
1. The mean scores of maternal-fetal attachment (MFA) was 75.57(range ; 48-92).
The most frequently practiced attachment item was "I can hardly wait to hold the baby(mean 4.23)".
The mean scores of paternal-fetal attachment(PFA) was 65.48(range: 48-92).
The most frequently practiced attachment item was "I can hardly wait to hold the baby(mean 4.25)".
2. There were significant difference in the degree of MFA, namely, gestational period (p=.020), whether the women had been special things(p=.000), and had experience on ultrasound scan(p=.001). In the PFA, gestational period(p=.031), gravida(p=.016), duration of marriage(p=.001), family type(p=.036) and whether the women had a health problem (p=.035) were significant difference in degree of attachment.
In conclusions, it can be said that parent demonstrated mid-level of attachment to their fetus during pregnancy. Several other factors seemed to be related, indicating a need for further study on maternal & paternal-fetal attachment. It will designed and managed parental class to promoting maternal & paternal-fetal attachment.
본 연구는 임신한 부부를 대상으로 어머니, 아버지로서 태아애착정도를 파악하기 위해 수행된 조사연구이다. 연구 대상자는 산부인과 외래에 방문한 임부 130명과 그 남편이었고, 자료수집은 Cranley(1981)의 어머니-태아 애착정도(5가지 하부영역)를 수정한 어머니, 아버지-태아애착 설문지를 배포하여 직접회수와 우편회수를 통해 수집하였다.
수집한 자료를 분석한 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
1. 어머니의 태아애착은 22문항에 대해 75.57점(범위 : 51-99점)을 보여 중간이상의 애착을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
아버지의 태아애착정도는 19문항에 대해 65.48점(범위 : 48-92점)을 보여 어머니와 같이 중간이상의 애착을 하고 있었다.
어머니가 태아에게 애착을 가장 많이 하는 문항은 ´빨리 아기를 낳아 안아보고 싶다(평균 4.32)´였고, 애착을 가장 적게 하는 문항은 ´배안의 아기가 여자아기일 경우를 위하여 여자 아기이름을 지어놓았다(평균 2.35)´로 나타났다.
아버지가 애착을 가장 높게 하는 문항은 어머니에서처럼 ´빨리 아기를 낳아 안아보고 싶다(평균4.25)´로 나타났고, 가장 낮은 애착을 보인 문항 역시 어머니와 같은 문항인 ´여자아기일 경우를 위하여 여자 아기이름을 지어 놓았다(평균2.46)´이었다.
2. 대상자의 일반특성과 산과특성에 따라 애착에 차이가 있는지 분석한 결과, 어머니는 임신 기간이 짧을수록(p=.020), 아기를 위해 특별한 일을 한 경우(p=.000), 초음파 검진으로 태아를 확인한 경우(p=.001) 유의하게 높은 태아애착 점수를 보였다.
아버지에서는 임시기간이 짧을수록(p=.013), 임신 동안 임부/태아에게 건강문제가 있을 때(p=.035), 임신이 처음인 경우(p=.016), 결혼기간이 1년 미만일 때(p=.001), 부부만 사는 가족인 경우(p=.036) 태아애착 정도가 유의하게 높았다.
이상의 결과를 통해 아기를 가진 어머니(임부)뿐만 아니라 아버지(임부남편)도 태아에 대해 중간이상의 애착을 갖고 있음을 알게 되었고, 애착에 영향을 주는 부모와 관련된 특성들을 밝혀 낼 수 있었다. 따라서 부모의 애착증진을 촉진하기 위해 임신한 부부를 대상으로 하는 부모교실 운영방안을 모색해야 할 것이다.
